Or Shalom holds warm and inviting Friday night Shabbat services with Rabbi Scott Looper and Cantorial Soloist Shelley Orbach.  Worship begins at 7:30pm on most Friday evenings and use the new Reform prayer book, Mishkan Tefillah.  Please check the calendar or contact the office to confirm worship times.

Young Children's Service:
Once a month we invite our youngest worshipers, together with their extended families, to join us for a special service specifically geared towards young children.  During this service we recognize all of the children who are celebrating birthdays throughout the month.  Rabbi Looper shares a favorite story as the children come up to the Bimah and sit with him.  Often, we are treated to an original "Rabbi" story.  The children look forward to this low-key, initmate time with Rabbi Looper.  The Young Children's service typically begins at 6:00 PM and lasts about 45 minutes.

Hebrew School Grade-Level Shabbat Services:
Several of our Shabbat services throughout the year are led by our Hebrew school students.  This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to show off their hebrew skills and for families and the congregation to celebrate their accomplishments.  With each passing year, our students become more familiar with the prayers and look forward to their turn on the bimah.  Students also look forward to bringing their favorite sweets to garnish the Oneg table at these special Shabbat evenings.
