Our goal is to help the members of our Congregation feel like they are a part of a Kehillah Kedosha, a Holy Community, where we will provide support and comfort to our Or Shalom Community members during times of loss, illness, or surgery, as well as times of celebration.
 
Committee members:
  • send condolence cards
  • send Yahrzeit cards to congregants on the first anniversary of loved ones' Yahrzeits
  • deliver Yizkor (remembrance) bags to congregants who have lost loved ones in the past year
  • deliver healing bags to congregants who have been hospitalized and/or had surgery or an ongoing illness
  • provide Shiva assistance for congregants by helping with setup, maintenance, and cleanup
  • help with wellness and outreach to congregants
  • give 'Welcome Baby' bags to new parents in our congregation
  • help to provide transportation for our members to and from Or Shalom services or events
