Weekly Services

Or Shalom holds warm and inviting Friday night Shabbat services with our rabbi and cantor. Worship begins at 7:00 pm, on most Fridays and use the Reform prayer book, Mishkan T'filah. Please check our calendar or contact our office to confirm worship times.

Shabbat Rishonah (1st Friday)

Celebrate with us on the 1st Friday of each month with a special musical Shabbat.  During these special events, we may also offer an opportunity to share a pre-Shabbat dinner or special Oneg - options change each month.

Shabbat Ruach (select Fridays; learn more HERE)

5:30 pm Tot Shabbat
Join our youngest worshipers and their extended families for a special service specifically geared toward young children led by Rabbi Sarah Rosenbaum Jones, our Director of Lifelong Learning. Children and families look forward to this low-key, special time with Rabbi Sarah. The Tot Shabbat service typically begins at 5:30 pm, followed by a dinner for the whole community at 6:00pm.

7:00pm J² School Grade-Level Shabbat Services
Several of our Shabbat services throughout the year are led by our J² school students. This is a wonderful opportunity for families of students in the same grade to welcome Shabbat together. Our students look forward to their turn on the bimah as they become more and more familiar with the prayers. Students also enjoy bringing their favorite sweets to share at the Oneg table on these special Shabbat evenings.
