Join Education Emerita, Marcia Cohen, to learn to read and chant the prayers and blessings of Friday night and Saturday morning services. During this 8 week session we will also become familiar with the Hebrew blessings for Chanukah. In addition to reading with fluency, we will explore the meaning of each prayer, recognizing common root words and themes throughout the prayer book. A basic reading knowledge of Hebrew is required. This class is open to members and non-members. Please be in touch if you need a scholarship to cover the class fee.
