Chanukah Shabbat is a tradition here at Or Shalom. We'll have a community menorah lighting and tefillah (prayer), sing songs, and have a wonderful oneg. This is what we call a Shabbat fan favorite!

New this year: Please join us for dinner from Clucker's at 6:00pm before the 7:00pm Chanukah Shabbat service. After the service, we'll be holding a 'Shabbanukah' Oneg/party with plenty of fun activities for all ages! Please bring your own menorah & candles and a non-perishable canned item to contribute to our giant can menorah. Oh, and don't forget to wear your "ugly" Chanukah sweater!

Schedule:

6:00pm - Community dinner from Clucker's

• Chicken
• Salad
• Grilled veggies
• Chicken fingers (kids' option)
• Potato latkes

7:00pm - Chanukah Shabbat & community menorah lighting

8:00pm - Shabbanukah Oneg

• Make New Year's cards for Brookdale
• Build a menorah with canned goods to be donated (please bring a non-perishable canned item to contribute!)
• Pin the candle on the menorah
• Sing songs in the corner (song leader TBA)
• Play dreidel to win prizes

Walk-ins are welcome at the 7:00pm Shabbat service and 8:00pm oneg!
